Proiectul lui Tom Fruin, Kolonihavehus, reprezintă un caleidoscop urban, aproape transparent, aproape colorat, unde locuitorii orașului pot regăsi formele pierdute și formele imaginare ale unui oraș posibil, niciodată însă a celui prezent, de sub imperiul căruia încercăm parcă în permanență să ne detașăm. Prezentul lasă aici loc imaginarului, alternanței, scenariilor alternative prin care evadăm regimului cotidianului. Viața devine aici un alt scenariu, fără valențe propriu-zise, prin care vedem orașul altfel decât acesta ni se arată, într-o mișcare improprie de rotire și care deschide ușa unui oraș paralel pe care nu ne rămâne decât să îl imaginăm. Iar faptul că acest spațiu este deschis formelor de performance – teatru, dans – vine ca un accent în plus asupra unui cadru alternativ ce propune „scene” alternative de viață, narațiuni improprii prin care evadăm în speranța regăsirii.

Tom Fruin’s project, Kolonihavehus, represents a urban kaleidoscope, almost transparent, almost colored, where the inhabitants of the city can recapture the lost form and the imaginary forms of a possible city, yet never those of the current city, from under the possession of which we’re as if continuously trying to come apart. The present makes here place for the imaginary, for the alternance, for the alternative scenarios whereby we escape the régime of the quotidian. Life becomes here another scenario, without proper valences, wherethrough we’re seeing the city unlike it shows itself, in an improper movement of rotation and which opens the door to a parallel city that we’re left to imagine. And the fact that this space is open to the forms of performance – thatre, dance – comes as an additional accent on an alternative frame proposing alternative life “scenes”, improper narratives wherethrough we escape in hope of retrieval.
